We all have a part to play in maximizing the health and safety of everyone at who attends events at the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts. Consistent with the Chancellor’s Directive of September 30, 2021 , all patrons of the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts must use an approved face covering at all times while in the WCPA. It is understood that the current requirements for COVID-19 Safety may be different than those used in the general community. Based on the need to protect the students and staff of the University as well as the requirements of resident companies and producers of individual shows additional safety requirements which require further COVID-19 Safety Protocols are in place at the time of the show.
By entering our venues, all guests, staff, volunteers, and artists certify that they are not experiencing COVID-19 symptoms and have not been recently exposed to anyone with COVID-19.
We will be strictly enforcing our health and safety requirements, and therefore, guests who do not comply with any of our health procedures may be denied entry or be required to leave the venue.
Patrons aged 2 and older will be required to wear face masks. Face masks that cover the nose and mouth are required to be worn at all times by guests, staff, and volunteers, regardless of vaccination status, in all areas of the venue, except when actively consuming food or beverages. Masks are required to be kept on during performances.
Bring your own mask and wear it as you enter the building. Single-use masks will be available at our venue if needed.
Transparent face coverings can be helpful for individuals who identify as deaf or hard-of-hearing and rely on lipreading or have other documented medical conditions that prevent the wearing of a face covering. By wearing your mask, you are helping those around you stay safe, and you are supporting our efforts to return to live performances.
The ticketing system at the Weidner Center has been replaced with a ticket scanning system, allowing for a print at home, contactless admission to the venue.
Frequently touched surfaces, such as doors and box office counters, have been identified and will be subject to frequent cleaning.
Food is currently not available for purchase. Beverages are currently not permitted in the house.
Other COVID-19 related health protocols may be in effect at the time of an event. We will continually assess the ever-changing impact of the pandemic and will adjust our requirements and procedures according to updated public health guidance and applicable law.
